NewVintage was started by Julie Rumble in 2003 after 20 years of working as a freelance Photographic Stylist.
Julie travelled the world to exotic locations on photographic assignments and constantly collected and sourced unusual items to bring back and sell on her stall at Portobello Road.
As the styling work took over she gave up the market stall but always had the dream of one day setting up a shop on her own.
NewVintageCoUk is an eclectic mix of old and new. Included is work by artists and designers. Furniture is reworked and customised to make it funky and fabulous! Vintage fabrics sold as curtains and cushions. Knitted cakes and tea cosys.
Prices are reasonable. A leopard print side table from £18, (and you can’t get enough leopard print in your life after all) a bright pink smartie fablon 1950s larder/kitchen cabinet for £165. 1930s tea sets from £20 and dinner services from £40.
The Shop stocks the work of Sue Trenchard whose fantastic Kate Moss decoupage mannequins sold out in a day.
Dressing tables start at £65 with a glamorous Louis XIV style dressing table selling at £275 and Louis chairs at £100. The shop a favourite haunt for stylists and designers.
